Lean Six Sigma World is part of ILSSI which is a multi-national foundation created for greater understanding and for standardisation between lean six sigma principles and professionals. With Lean Six Sigma World, my motto is to give every individual a chance to reinvent himself/herself, just like I did, and reach the heights of success in their career.
The certification spiked my interest in the LSS field and after that, there was no turning back.
Although my path has had many ups and downs, I sailed past those with the help and support of my family.
When I was first introduced to the LSS program, I was surprised to see very few women professionals opting for this branch of study. After probing, I realised that there seemed to be a general consideration, that the female brain was not compatible to understand six sigma strategies and it was this revelation that made me all the more determined to fight the existing bias.
It’s rightly said that when the student is ready the teacher appears. This was so true in my life. While I was determined to be a LSS expert, my mentor, Mr. John Dennis and trainer Mr. Karthik Manian resolutely taught and shared their LSS knowledge and clarified my doubts untiringly.
The lessons I learnt during my training were meant to be shared – of this I was convinced. My efforts paid off, and I was approached by one of the institutes to impart my knowledge to those, who like me, were determined to throw off their shackles and learn LSS.
